Welcome to our Aquaponics Blog! The purpose of this project is to build a functioning, self-sufficient aquaponics system and share our designs and improvements online, specifically with the intent of helping communities that are developing their own systems. Additionally, we intend to showcase our environmentally green system with the school community.
Aquaponics combines conventional aquaculture (the raising of snails, fish, crayfish, etc in tanks) with hydroponics (growing plants in water) in a symbiotic environment (both the plants and the aquatic animals benefit from each other).
